Greetings everyone . I'm new here and have some trim questions . I have been painting for approximately 20 years ( I was a General Contractor who sometimes needed to jump in on various jobs , and also do all my painting for my houses) , and have never been truly satisfied with my trim results. I have sprayed doors and some trim with really good results but find that the time it takes to prep a finished space along with sprayer cleanup is just not very efficient for me . Recently I have started using BM Advanced and really like the results , but even with BM , I'm still seeing more brush strokes than I would like . I have never used GARDZ , which I probably should start doing . I never use MDF , always wood . So I'm open to all suggestions . Brushes are usually Wooster , or Purdy , although I have a feeling I'm not using a soft enough brush . I have seen recommendations for Crown Brushes , and some other smaller named brands . I use a lot of flat stock for my casings and baseboards , sanding, priming and painting 1 finish coat on sawhorses , the painting final finish coat after trim is installed , that's when the paint strokes show up . Thanks in advance , sorry for being so wordy !
